Global Dividend Performance
I have written previously about the importance of global assets in a portfolio and how I like the International Dividend ETF (PID) for this purpose. However, to put it in perspective, I have calculated some results for the MSCI World Index over the past 25 years.
The following graph shows the power of dividends as they have related to the returns of the MSCI World Index over the past 25 Years. The darker yellow indicates the simple price return of the index, while the shaded yellow indicates the additional return including dividends.

That’s impressive. The power of reinvesting your dividends once again beats all.
